Our Corvette Club
Surfcoast Corvettes is an Australian Corvette club based in Geelong, Victoria, and registered with VicRoads for the Victoria Club Permit Scheme (CPS). This allows paid up members to obtain a permit to drive their vehicles for either 45 days or 90 days per year at a much reduced rate compared to normal registration.
People interested in joining our Corvette Club are welcome to attend meetings, or any of our club activities to see if Surfcoast Corvettes is a good fit with your requirements. All Corvette owners, prospective owners and Corvette lovers are welcome to join our club.
You can apply for membership by downloading a Membership Application form available on this website and bringing it to a club meeting or sending it to our club Secretary.
Club Technical Assistance
There is a wealth of expertise within our Corvette club’s group of members. Plenty of advice is available on restoring, repairing, modifying or simply servicing and maintaining your Corvette. Along with the advice you will find specialized Corvette tools and workshop manuals available to help with your project. Members can suggest the right technician for specialized work as well as the best places to buy parts, both in Australia and from the US.
Support is available for anyone wanting to buy a Corvette, including what to look out for if importing a car or buying one locally. Buying a modified car or getting your own car modified can present problems for registration, so be sure to get advice from the club experts before you go ahead with modifications.
Car Shows & Corvette Events
Our Corvette club now has two home shows during the summer period where all members are encouraged to show their Corvettes. These are the Drysdale and Torquay Car Shows. At these two shows, Surfcoast Corvettes will set up a club display and a picnic type luncheon for everyone to enjoy and be able to socialize with other members.
From 2019 onward, the Torquay Car Show will be incorporated into a new event run by our club – Cruizin’ the Surfcoast. This event will include a Corvette Cruise and BBQ on the Saturday before the Torquay Show, and a Corvette Dinner on the Saturday night.
Around October each year, the Central Vic Corvettes club holds the Stingray Run, which has now become a must-do event for our club. We join Central Vic Corvettes, plus Corvettes of Melbourne and Vic Vettes, for this fabulous annual event.
And finally, each year over the Easter break, the Australian Corvette Nationals are held. Surfcoast Corvettes is a recognised, invited club for the Nationals, and all members are encouraged to join our Surfcoast Corvettes contingent attending this signature event.
